We pick a time that suits you. I fix the problem and show you how to do it yourself next time.

  3. 3

I leave simple, large-print notes of what we did, so you can look back whenever you need.

What I can help with

I help with every Apple product, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple TV and HomePod.

Yes, I can help

  • ✓Setting up any new Apple device
  • ✓Moving photos, contacts and messages from your old device
  • ✓iCloud backups and freeing up storage
  • ✓Recovering your Apple Account password, using Apple's official process with you
  • ✓Calls, texts, FaceTime, email, photos and apps
  • ✓Bigger text, louder sound and connecting hearing aids
  • ✓Blocking spam calls and spotting scam messages
  • ✓Medical ID and Emergency SOS setup
  • ✓Connecting Wi-Fi, printers, headphones and Apple TV

What I can't do

  • ✕Locked or disabled accounts, Activation Lock, or forgotten passcodes when the owner can't confirm who they are. These need Apple Support first.
  • ✕Bypassing Apple's security in any way
  • ✕Hardware repairs like cracked screens, batteries or water damage
  • ✕Windows computers, Android phones and other non-Apple devices (for now)
  • ✕Handling your banking passwords or making purchases for you

Apple's account recovery can sometimes take a few days. If you're in that situation, I'm happy to come back once it's done.

Don't see your problem listed? Don't worry. These are just the most common things I help with. If it involves an Apple device, give me a call or send a text at (678) 765-9452. We'll talk it through for free, and if I can't help, I'll point you to someone who can.

Common questions

How do I pay?

I accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo and Cash App. Payment is due at the end of the visit.

Do you take gift cards?

No, never. Paying with gift cards is one of the most common scams aimed at older adults. If anyone claiming to be tech support asks you for gift cards, hang up and call me or a family member.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life happens. Please give me at least 24 hours' notice by call or text so I can offer that time to someone else. There's no fee to cancel or reschedule, and if something comes up the same day, just let me know as soon as you can.

What should I have ready?

Charge your devices beforehand and, if you can, find your Wi-Fi password (it's often on a sticker on your internet box). If you're moving to a new phone, have the old one nearby too.

How do I know I can trust you?

I'll never ask what your passwords are, never ask for bank details, and never take anything with me. You're always welcome to have a family member or friend there during the visit.

Can I book a visit for my parent?

Yes. Family members are welcome to book and pay for a visit, even from out of state. Just tell me who I'll be visiting and the best way to reach them, and I can send you a quick update after the visit.

Do you help with non-Apple devices?

Not yet. Right now I focus only on Apple products so I can do the best job possible. If you have another device, I'll gladly point you to someone who can help.

What if I'm not sure what's wrong?

That's perfectly fine. Call or text me and describe what's happening in your own words. We'll figure it out together on our free 15-minute call.

About GuidedTech

I'm a senior in college studying cybersecurity, and I've been around technology my whole life. Along the way I noticed something: the smallest questions often cause the biggest frustration. Where did that setting go? How do I send this photo? Why won't my phone ring?

Technology keeps changing, and no one should be left behind or feel helpless because of it. You should never feel embarrassed to ask. And because cybersecurity is what I study, I take your safety seriously, from spotting scam texts to keeping your accounts protected.

I started GuidedTech to give my neighbors someone they can call and trust. I'm patient, I explain things plainly, and I'll keep coming back as long as you need me. We're in this together.

For families: if you're tired of walking Mom or Dad through settings over the phone, I can sit with them in person, answer their questions, and leave notes they can keep. You'll know they're in good hands.
